Lighting the fuse – Starting a business in a down economy
The stock market is down. Jobless rates are way up. The country is in crisis.
What’s the best thing to do?
Start a business, of course!
As some of you may know, I ran a moderately successful computer repair business from 2001 until the middle of 2003. I did work for a variety of clients, from a manufacturer of race car components to a law office. It was a fun time, and, if my first marriage hadn’t ended in disaster, it might be supporting me right now. I won’t go into details as to why it failed, as pointing fingers at this point is meaningless.
However, I have decided that now that the economy has tanked, it’s time to try again. The difference this time is that I will be specializing in laptop repair. After my experiences on campus, I am watching laptops pervade areas once dominated by desktop computers. I will detail my efforts to run the business here on my blog for all to see. The trials, the tribulations, the success and joy will be detailed on Aaronspringer.com.
Get ready for a wild ride!
